Greeting from the Old Shady Oak Baptist Church (OSO) Family: This page has been designed to introduce you to our Pastor (Reverend William O. Harrison, Jr.) and First Lady (Mrs. Emily Harrison) as well as the OSO Baptist Church Family. We give God the Glory for having Pastor Harrison as our under shepherd for 20 years. Under his leadership the church has grown in many ways through our membership, additional expansion, and the beautification of church grounds.

We extend an invitation for you to come and experience some old time preaching.

Our mission is centered in the Great Commission – Matthew 28: 19-20 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Church in obedience to this command will fulfill its purpose. As followers of Christ (The Head of the Church) we strive to accomplish this purpose by:

1. Being Constituted by the Holy Bible – The Word of God – Psalm 119:25
2. Guided by the Holy Spirit – Romans 8:14
3. Being lights in a world of Darkness – 1 John 2:8
4. Conveying the love of God by loving others – All People – John 13:35
